Don't Dump it, Donate it!

As George Mason University students pack up to leave their residence halls for the summer, they have the opportunity to donate clean clothes in good condition, nonperishable and unopened food, and small appliances for local charities.

In 2009 the University donated 1,635 pounds of food to Food for Others, and 6,765 pounds of clothing and small appliances to the Clock Tower Thrift Shop in Falls Church, which benefits Northern Virginia Family Services.
