Recreational Facilities
The University provides a variety of recreational facilities open to the community, including the Aquatic and Fitness Center on the Fairfax Campus and the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center on the Prince William Campus. The Freedom Center was brought to reality through a tripartite agreement among Manassas City Council, the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors, and the George Mason University Board of Visitors that included funding and management of the facility. The facility, designed by and for the community under the guidance of a community advisory board, is a focal point of community and economic development.
