George Mason University reaches far beyond the boundaries of its distributed campuses to serve the needs of the Commonwealth of Virginia, particularly those communities of Northern Virginia that fought to establish this institution and supported George Mason as it grew and prospered.

At George Mason, we consider ourselves an integral part of the greater community and, as such, faculty, staff, and students have energetically formed partnerships and programs that have a significant impact on the lives of those who call Northern Virginia home.

This web site contains a sampling of the services, programs, and partnerships the university can provide or is engaged in throughout the community.

If you have any questions regarding Mason's engagements with the community, please contact Traci Claar, Director of Community Relations.
