Game Rooms

Mason’s game rooms are managed by Student Centers. The University Game Room is located on the lower level of Student Union Building I, across from Damon’s Grill Restaurant. The University Game Room offers billiards, table tennis, foosball, air hockey, and video games. The room is wired with four cable TV monitors and a high-tech stereo system. In addition, it is wireless capable. The newest game room on campus, Corner Pocket, is located in the Shenandoah Residence Hall and has most of the services as the University Game Room. Both maintain some of the lowest per hour play rates in the metropolitan area. The game rooms can be rented for private birthday parties and events. Call 703-993-2921 for more information.

Hemlock Overlook Center for Experiential Education

Hemlock Overlook Center for Experiential Education is operated by George Mason University and owned by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. The center is located outside the town of Clifton, Virginia, approximately 10 miles from Mason’s Fairfax Campus. The 225 acres of regional park offers miles of hiking trails, six cabins (capacity of 96), men’s/women’s bathhouse, a dining lodge (catering available) with a fireplace, three picnic shelters, and meeting space. Our team development course consists of 48 low and high elements. The flagship challenge course element, Total Team Challenge™, combines the complexities of the low course with the thrill of a high ropes element. Hemlock Overlook offers courses in team development, environmental education, canoeing, and orienteering, and provides rental space as a small retreat facility. We serve approximately 25,000 people a year, ages 10 years to adult. We conduct programs for Mason groups and the local community. To schedule a group, call 703-993-4354.
