University Libraries and School of Law Library
George Mason University has five libraries: the Fenwick and Johnson Center Libraries on the Fairfax Campus, the Arlington Campus Library, the Mercer Library on the Prince William Campus, and the School of Law Library. Combined holdings include more than 1.2 million volumes, more than 100,000 electronic books, 11,000 print periodicals, and 30,000 electronic periodicals. In addition, the libraries are U.S. government and Commonwealth of Virginia document depositories, hold 275 special collections and archives, and provide access to 550 electronic databases. All library resources are available to the public for use on the premises. Students enrolled in degree programs and current faculty at Washington Research Library Consortium member institutions may borrow circulating books through the Consortium Loan Service. Individuals with borrowing privileges at the Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) may borrow circulating materials on-site by presenting a completed FCPL-Mason Libraries Borrowing Agreement form obtained at any FCPL branch location. Borrowing privileges are also available through the University Libraries’ Library Passport program. The School of Law Library is open to the public, but some online legal resources and circulation privileges are restricted to university users. For more information,
